A visionary leader for HiDef's Great Causes, Azin spent a month in Guatemala in late 2008, and was so impacted by both the globalized impact to, as well as the environmental destruction of this small Latin American country, that he started working on conceptual solutions for three areas of need: First of all, the loss of cultural diversity due to the impact of tourism. Secondly, the environmental effects which result, as developing countries follow Western economic practices. And finally, the overwhelming needs of the poor and disabled in these countries. This is Azin in a nutshell: He refuses to take a vacation when the landscape of American business objectives is so skewed toward profit only; the environment is an afterthought. Heading up HiDef's Vision team, his focus is on providing sustainable concepts and practices, preferring to forecast technology and communication needs 5 years ahead, instead of 2 quarters.
